In den letzten Jahren hat sich die Aufmerksamkeit für alternde Arbeitsmarkte erhöht. Dabei spielen jedoch bislang legitimatorische Fragen der Gleichbehandlung aller Altersgruppen im deutschen Kontext eine untergeordnete Rolle. Dieses Thema gewinnt aber - durch das mediale Interesse am demographischen Wandel und die jüngeren europaischen Antidiskriminierungsanforderungen- zunehmend an Bedeutung. Dieser Entwicklung soll der transdisziplinare Band Rechnung tragen. Erstmals wird sich explizit dem Problem der Altersdiskriminierung und dem Konzepts des Ageism befasst.

About the author

David L. Colclasure is an independent scholar who teaches and has published in the field of German Studies. Among his recent publications is his new translation of political essays by Immanuel Kant in a volume entitled Toward Perpetual Peace and Other Writings on Politics, Peace and History.
