He is the author of The Secular Visionaries: Aestheticism and New Zealand Short Fiction in the Twentieth Century (2010) and is the co-editor of two other books: Sexuality and Contemporary Literature (2012) and Postfeminism and Contemporary Hollywood Cinema (2013).
