Informationen zum Autor G. Kurt Piehler is Director of the Institute of World War II and the Human Experience and Associate Professor of History at Florida State University in August 2011. Prior to becoming Institute Director in 2011, he held academic positions at the City University of New York, Drew University, Rutgers University, and the University of Tennessee. In 2008, he served as Fulbright Lecturer in American Studies at Kobe University and Kyoto University. As founding director (1994-1998) of the Rutgers Oral History Archives, he conducted more than 200 interviews with veterans of World War II.
