About the author










Dr. Makiko Miwa is a Professor and Chair of the International Committee at the Open University of Japan. She received her Ph.D. from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University. Shizuko Miyahara is a lecturer at Sagami Women's University, Kanagawa, Japan. She received her Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
