This volume contains contributions to the Brite/Euram 3rd Framework "European Computational Aerodynamics Research Project" (ECARP), particularly to the technical outcome of the "Validation" and "Unsteady Viscous-Inviscid Interaction Methods" (UVII) areas.
The validation part concentrates on quantifying the predictive accuracy of advanced modelling methods. Using Navier-Stokes and interactive schemes, special emphasis is put on the performance of turbulence models for maximum and high-lift, single- and multi-element aerofoils and on three-dimensional flows. Further attention is directed towards two-dimensional separating boundary layers.
For the UVII area, the specific aim is to asses a range of methods for the simulation of unsteady flow over 2D and 3D oscillating airfoils and wings as well as rotor models taking into account the modelling of blade-induced wake flow.
Attached to this work is a CD-ROM, containing all relevant data.
