This book presents the most recent advances in the field of computer generated photorealistic rendering. It contains 28 selected international contributions presented at the Fifth Eurographics Workshop on Rendering, held in Darmstadt, Germany, inJune 1994.
The book covers a wide spectrum of topics including not only such "classics" as radiosity, ray tracing, meshing and sampling, and Monte Carlo and viewing solutions, but also some new areas of increasing interest, such as participating media, dynamic solutions and walkthroughs, and wavelets.
Papers from two eminent invited speakers are included: Holly Rushmeier reviews modelling and rendering participating media and Peter Shirley surveys future trends in rendering techniques.
