Six action-packed story-scenes are followed by photographic information spreads which provide scientific detail and background. Each title can be read front to back, or the reader can follow special 'page links' for a thematic exploration. This series is perfect for emerging readers who are beginning to exercise wider reading, research and cross-referencing skills.
Gazing at a nighttime sky full of stars is a powerful invitation to the imagination. Explorers: Stars and Planets takes readers out for an exploration of the galaxy beyond Earth's atmosphere. Starting with what we see and moving outward to the Moon, the nearby planets, what it is like to travel and live in space, and space exploration beyond where humans can travel, young readers can explore the book sequentially, or pick a theme and follow the links through the book. From frozen rocky moons to awesome gas giants and the millions of stars in the universe, this is an immersive adventure that's sure to inspire young readers to think differently about the nighttime sky.
