Hubertus Butin, geboren 1964, studierte Kunstgeschichte in Bonn und Zürich. Seit 1991 zahlreiche Publikationen zur zeitgenössischen Kunst. 1996 - 1998 kunsthistorischer Assistent Gerhard Richters. Lebt als freier Autor und Kurator in Köln.
