Die Illustratorin Cleo-Petra Kurze, geboren 1951 in Lutherstadt Eisleben, studierte an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig und arbeitet seit 1975 als freischaffende Illustratorin und Cartoonistin in Berlin.
