About the author










Originally from Liverpool, Andrew Taylor now teaches at Nottingham Trent University. He is the author of four collections of poetry from Shearsman Books, and over a dozen with other publishers. He has published a critical volume on Adrian Henri, and is now at work one a monograph on the work of Peter Finch, whose Collected Poems he edited for Seren.

Summary

The intellectual relationship between Henry James and his father proved to be an influential resource for the novelist. Taylor examines the nature of both men's engagement with autobiographical strategies, issues of gender reform, and the language of religion.
