Arnold Schwarzenegger, geb. 1947 in Österreich, wander mit 21 Jahren in die USA aus, absolviert ein Studium der internationalen Wirtschaftslehre und erhält 1983 die US-Staatsbürgerschaft. Schon früh verschreibt er sich dem Bodybuilding, gewinnt in den 60er- und 70er-Jahren zahlreiche Titel und wird schließlich zum erfolgreichsten Bodybuilder seiner Zeit. Mit Terminator gelingt im 1984 der Durchbruch als Hollywood-Schauspieler, viele weitere erfolgreiche Filme folgen. Von 2003 bis 2011 ist er Gouverneur von Kalifornien.
