Ihre Texte gehen unter die Haut, sie sind auch auf Wanderungen geborene Philosophie, als Professorin für Sprache (Germanistik) und Ästhetik ist sie belesen und blickt auch deshalb auf ein reichhaltiges Werk. BUCHSTABENLICHT ist ein dreisprachiges Werk der Dichterin aus der belgischen Hauptstadt und ein guter Einblick in das Schaffen von Annie Reniers.

Annie Reniers, Brussel, 14 mei 1941, dichteres, Professor in de Esthetica aan de VUB, ontving de eerste Hughues C. Pernath prijs voor haar hele oeuvre dat nu uit een twintigtal bundels bestaat, waaronder enkele in het Frans. Haar teksten zijn indringend, waarbij wandelingen in de natuur tot filosofische overwegingen leiden, geschraagd door haar grote belezenheid en menselijke kennis. Deze bundel biedt een overzicht van haar rijke oeuvre. Annie¿s werk is helder, straalt vol licht dat ze steeds weer opzoekt in leven en werk. Zij verlicht, verlucht de taal met geheimzinnig mooie woordvormingen en sobere zegging. Bij het vertalen van haar werk verleiden de rijke taal, het etherische en het erudiete tot bedachtzame langzaamheid. Dit biedt een liefdevolle uitdaging haar terug te vinden in het licht.

poetess and professor in Aesthetics at the Free University of Brussels, received the first Hughues C. Pernath prize for her complete work, existing today of about twenty books of poetry, some of them in French. Her texts are probing, while her walks in nature lead to philosophical musings supported by her wide reading and knowledge of the human soul. This book gives an overview of her rich oeuvre. Annie¿s work is clear, shines brightly in the light she looks for in life and work. She illuminates, rarefies language with mysteriously beautiful word formations and a sober style. In translating her work the rich language, the ethereal and her erudition seduce to thoughtful slowness. So it becomes a loving challenge to rediscover her in the light. * * *
