James Madden is trustee of the New Jersey Civil War Heritage Association and its 150th Anniversary Committee, a trustee of the Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery, a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APGEN) and a trustee of the Jerramiah T. Healy Charitable Foundation for a Better Jersey City.
