Le roman de Renart - Textes choisis

Renart a une préoccupation essentielle: manger. Les gâteaux au miel, les fromages, mais aussi les poules, coqs, mésanges et autres anguilles. Pour y parvenir, le renard imagine des ruses et des pièges... qui ne marchent pas à tous les coups! Tous ces épisodes le mettent au ban de la société et on préférerait le voir mort que courant la campagne pour accomplir ses méfaits. Mais nous, nous aimerions bien que l'animal poursuive ses aventures, pour notre plus grand plaisir de lecteur!

L'appareil pédagogique éclaire sur le Moyen Age, avec ses différentes classes sociales; y sont étudiés le mode de transmission des oeuvres, la question de l'auteur, les manuscrits et les enluminures. Les extraits choisis associent les passages attendus du roman et des pages moins rebattues. Ce corpus permet de saisir la variété des branches et l'évolution du texte au cours des décennies où il s'est constitué.
