Il vivait à Porquerolles dans son bateau. Il ressemblait plutôt à un clochard qu'à un pêcheur. L'hiver il ne faisait rien. L'été il emmenait les touristes pêcher autour de l'île. C'était une figure populaire. Personne n'avait intérêt à sa mort. On ne lui avait rien volé.
