SEXUALITE INFANTILE -LA-

Avant quatre ans, l'enfant est un « pervers polymorphe » - et c'est normal, dit Freud. La vie sexuelle de l'adulte, quant à elle, résulte de la manière dont la sexualité infantile s'est développée. Tel est le thème de cet essai de 1905 qui forme le coeur des Trois essais sur la théorie sexuelle. Maintes fois remanié par Freud au fur et à mesure de ses avancées théoriques (notamment sur la libido, les pulsions et le narcissisme), il n'a pas d'équivalent dans son oeuvre et servira de base, en 1909, au célèbre cas du Petit Hans.

Que signifie donc le suçotement des nourrissons ? Que recouvrent le plaisir et l'autoérotisme à cet âge ? Et pourquoi les adultes oublient-ils la sexualité de leur enfance ?
