Le moi et le ça

Avec ce texte capital, Freud crée en 1923 une nouvelle géographie du psychisme qui permet de penser le monde moderne. S'appuyant sur Le Livre du Ça que Georg Groddeck vient de faire paraître, il y définit les trois instances qui vont révolutionner la théorie psychanalytique : le moi, le ça et le surmoi. Mais c'est aussi dans cet ouvrage qu'il teste la validité de l'hypothèse de la pulsion de mort élaborée trois ans plus tôt, qu'il revient sur le concept de bisexualité, qu'il expose une forme « complète » du complexe d'Oedipe, et qu'il aborde le thème de l'idéal, si important pour comprendre la vie psychique des adolescents et, plus généralement, le « moteur » de notre existence.
