The Most-High has said : "Every deed of the son of Adam belongs to him with the exception of the fast ; for the fast is Mine and it is I who bestow its Reward !"

Of all the acts of worship, the ritual fast is unique. Having no outward manifestation at all, its purely spiritual form directly expresses the Transcendence and Incomparability of Allâh.

In the light of the Quran and the Sunnah, the Greatest Spiritual Master Muhyi-d-Dîn ibn 'Arabî elucidates the doctrine and exposes the secrets of one of the fundamental rites of Islam.
