"The Bounds of Reason" (Text in German)
Semen L.Frank (1877 - 1950) is considered the most significant Russian philosopher of this century. To use reason to penetrate to the bounds of reason, rationally to show the limits of rational insight: these are the intentions wich Frank follows in his main work, which was first published in 1939, dealing with the relationship of the human beeing to the world, to him -or-herself, to the Other, and to God.
The introduction by the translator provides a commentary in terms both of philology and the history of philosphy.
