Karl Blossfeldt (Schielo/Harz 1865 - 1932 Berlin)§1884-1889 Studium an der Unterrichtsanstalt des Königlichen Kunstgewerbemuseums, Berlin. 1896-1898 Aufenthalt in Italien als freier Bildhauer. 1898 Beginn seiner Lehrtätigkeit an der Unterrichtsanstalt des Königlichen Kunstgewerbemuseums, Berlin. Systematische photographische Erfassung von Pflanzenformen. 1921 Ernennung zum ordentlichen Professor. 1928 erscheint die erste Auflage von "Urformen der Kunst", 1932 "Wundergarten der Natur". Neue Folge von "Urformen der Kunst"

Hans Christian Adam studierte Psychologie, Kunstgeschichte und Kommunikationswissenschaft in Göttingen und Wien. Als Spezialist für historisches Bildmaterial hat er zahlreiche Artikel und Bücher, u.a. zur Reise- und Kriegsfotografie, publiziert.
