Michael Ruse is the Lucyle T. Werkmeister Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Program in History and Philosophy of Science at Florida State University. The author or editor of more than 30 books, including Can a Darwinian be a Christian? and Darwinism and its Discontents, he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the recipient of several honorary degrees.Robert J.
