My Daddy's Big Boots
Inspired by the events of an actual childhood day by the author. This is a story about a little boy trying to fit into his daddy's big boots, and with one giant "hop" he leaps into them.
A few wobbles later, and he is running and playing "cowboy". He knows that his daddy takes real good care of his boots, so he returns them to the place where he found them before his daddy returns home. With polish cloth in hand, and a little boy at his footstool, the daddy begins to polish and buff out all the scratches that were surely put there by the little boy from earlier play, yet the love between them needs no extra polish! A reflection of a heartfelt story by that same little boy - many years later, and with feet still too small... to fill those great big boots.

Brett Anderson and wife Julie, currently reside in central Minnesota. Brett is now retired from years of retail management and commercial real estate. He serves on both the missionary board and music ministry of his local church. He enjoys writing short stories, creating song/videos ("Brett Sings"), motorcycling around the country, and taking passengers up for a flight in his powered parachute: (Mr. B's Fly'n Machine.) His greatest joy is being called "Papa B"! Brett and Julie enjoy investing in each other's hobbies. They also enjoy traveling together on both old and new adventures, and love spending time in Bible reading and prayer. "We laugh a lot together - sometimes at each other.
