It's Valentine's Day at The Laughing Loaf Bakery. Gracie brings on a new friend to help with the bread-baking and recruits four eager teenagers with drivers' licenses to deliver a special menu of breads and pastries for Valentine's Day.
When two of the delivery "cupids" find the body of whiz kid software programmer Eddie Sumner, suspicion falls on his boss, Kirk, husband of Gracie's best friend. On her way to the bakery before dawn, Gracie sees lights on in Eddie's house, while a shadowy figure who looks like Eddie moves boxes and furniture. Since no one else has had access to the house, Gracie begins to wonder if the programmer is really dead. To discover the truth and clear her best friend's husband, Gracie must find out who killed Eddie Sumner...and what is hiding in his house.
