casse-pieds, ou, pour le dire plus
net, emmerdeurs : quel que soit
le vocable, la réalité est la même. Les fâcheux
sont une engeance aussi ancienne que la
nature humaine. Et Molière ne s'y trompe pas :
cherchant au débotté un sujet pour faire rire,
il choisit ces empêcheurs de vivre tranquille
qui se mettent toujours à la traverse, en allant
chercher ses modèles dans la Cour qui se presse
à la grande fête que le surintendant Foucquet
offre à Louis XIV pour lui présenter son château
de Vaux-le-Vicomte. C'est dire que dans un tel
contexte, la légèreté apparente de la comédie se
leste de l'épaisseur plus lourde d'un enjeu social.
Et le théâtre y trouve son compte : Molière intègre
chant, musique et danse à son spectacle et invente
tout bonnement la comédie musicale.
