Following World War II, the German city of Breslau became Polish Wroclaw. Drawing on former residents' recollections, the Encyclopedia Judaica, and other sources, Lenarcik focuses on the struggles and self-help achievements in the rebuilding of its liquidated major prewar Jewish community.
