I don't know about you, but in the past, I have gotten to points where I've said, "you know what? I can't do this anymore. I'm done!" If you've gotten to this point before, know that this is a cry for more grace! Paul said, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:10). Paul acknowledged while at his wit's end that he needed grace.

That is why the Bible says that the kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are poor in spirit. "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:3). The poor in spirit are those who allow themselves to be brought to the point of weakness where they acknowledge that while they might have some strength, compared to God, they have nothing. We must constantly be in that state of mind. The grace of God would never empower a strong person. It is only made available to those who are weak.
