This text describes several UWB surveillance radar prototypes, including Multiple Antenna Surveillance Radar, Multibeam Synthetic Radar, and Geoscience SAR. These illustrate the recent development of multi-mode capabilities and based on the results of these prototypes, a novel multi-mode, multi-channel radar is presented.

About the author
Mark E. Davis is a world-renowned radar engineer and Aerospace Electronic Systems Society Distinguished Lecturer in foliage penetration and ultra-wideband surveillance radar systems and technology. In his 50 year career, he held positions as a senior program manager at GE Aerospace, US Air Force Research Laboratory, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Since 2008 he has been a consultant to Industry and Government in advanced radar systems and technology.
