About the author
Lou Peacock (Author)
Lou Peacock is lucky enough to have one of the best jobs in the world: 'Publishing Director of Picture Books' at Nosy Crow. She has a degree in English Literature from Oxford University, and over twenty years' experience in children's publishing. She started her editorial career working on novelty books, but has focussed on picture books and poetry for the last 15 years. She often puts her author hat on to write picture books for Nosy Crow and has a notebook full of scribbled ideas.
Yasmeen Ismail (Illustrator)
Irish-born, Bristol-based Yasmeen Ismail is an award-winning author, illustrator and animator. Yasmeen studied at art school in her hometown, Dublin, and graduated in 2002. Yasmeen then moved to London where she lent her talents to many different projects ranging from advertising to children's publishing. As a result of her animating background, her illustrations are bright, fluid and full of energy and movement. She loves watercolours, inks and paints, and is moving to all sorts of other mediums. She has just moved to Bristol from London with her husband. They miss their cat very much and spend their evenings talking about her.
Summary

When a little squirrel finds a big pile of nuts, he is VERY excited! But soon he is joined by another squirrel . . . and this squirrel thinks the nuts belong to HER. And when Mouse, Bear and Badger get involved, well, things get VERY confusing indeed! They won't even listen to wise Rabbit. Will the quarrelsome squirrels ever learn to share?
This is a hilarious and deceptively simple story with a comically delivered message about learning to share, perfect for fans of Jon Klassen, Kes Gray and Ed Vere. Lou Peacock cleverly introduces little ones to pronouns - are they my nuts, your nuts, his nuts, her nuts, their nuts or our nuts?
