Man of our so called civil society have developed many things thinking about our more comfortable lifestyles without thinking about the natural balance. In the age of computer, internet, mobile phones, we are using electromagnetic radiation for communications without thinking its harmful effect on living bodies. All of us now habituated with the term nanotechnology, but very little aware of its hazards that generate many complications on the nature and living beings. Global warming is another burning issue which is coming as a deadly threat in near future. So all we must require conscious planning and management. With the mastery of science and technology, we have increased the prosperity and the up-dated standard of life, but these developments have damaged and deteriorated the ecological systems. In this book, we have discussed about three important environmental issues and tried to grow a general awareness about the ongoing problems.

Dr. Madhusudan Jana is an Assistant Professor in Physics. Apart from his subject interest he is interested in developing Science Awareness among the common people. This book is an attempt to fulfill that. Amala Jana is also an Assistant Teacher in Physics and she is also interested to do such Social Awareness Activities.
