W.S. Van Dyke directs Ingrid Bergman, George Sanders and Robert Montgomery in a gripping psychological thriller from the pen of celebrated English author Christopher Isherwood. Montgomery plays British steel mill owner Philip Monrell, whose outward charm and flippancy conceal a terrible secret, while Sanders plays Ward Andrews, the best friend Philip hides behind.
