When successful stock broker Fred Böhler leaves for work on a foggy day, he has no idea what dramatic turn his life is about to take. On the journey into work he has a major car accident and ends up in intensive care, fighting for his life. As his wife sits by his side, praying for him to recover, Fred embarks as an eagle to a very different journey. While his body lies motionless at the hospital, Fred is actually flying over mountain tops and glaciers. Although he is seemingly dead, Fred’s inner self is making a huge journey down the glaciers to the green plains of a big river, experiencing the full force of nature, where he encounters incredibly beautiful flowers, the comical squirrel, but also the mighty elk and buffalo.
