Evaluation and management of impacted teeth are among the most frequent services offered by oral and maxillofacial surgeons. The modern concept of skillful and effective surgery of impacted teeth has evolved gradually extending from the first surgical endeavour of prehistoric times with its crude elements to the highly refined techniques and precautionary measures that are accepted as ordinary requisties of today. Greater awareness on the part of the population and advances in democratization of access to dental treatment are reflected in a significant increase in the number of surgeries for the removal of impacted teeth. This book aims to discuss the etiology, epidemiology, diagnosis, classifications, indications, contraindications, surgical procedure and complications associated with various maxillary and mandibular impacted teeth.

Dr. Navjot Kaur did her M.D.S. in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the year 2016 from Amritsar, Punjab.She has a vast teaching & research experience in her field & worked as Assistant Professor at Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & National Dental College.At present, she is working as Associate Professor in Rayat-Bahra Dental College,Mohali, Punjab.
