Als ich die Formulierung "performatives Lehren und Lernen" zum ersten Mal hörte, wurde ich an eine Aussage von Wittgenstein erinnert: "Ein neues Wort wirkt wie ein frischer Same, der auf den Grund der Diskussion geworfen wird" - so heißt es einem Beitrag zu diesem Band in der SCENARIO-Buchreihe zur Förderung des interkulturellen Dialogs innerhalb der Drama- und Theaterpädagogik. Sechs Beiträge sind in diesem Band versammelt, jeweils in einer deutschen und englischen Fassung, die performatives Lehren, Lernen und Forschen aus drama- und theaterpädagogischer, allgemeinpädagogischer sowie fremdsprachendidaktischer Perspektive beleuchten. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass das Wort "performativ" in vielen Sprachen geläufig ist, wird - insbesondere in interkulturellen Kontexten - für seine Verwendung plädiert, um Zugänge zum Lehren, Lernen und Forschen zu charakterisieren, die aus dem dynamischen Zusammenspiel von Pädagogik und performativer Kunst entstehen.When I first heard the phrase "performative teaching and learning" I was reminded of a quote from Wittgenstein that "a new word is like a fresh seed thrown on the ground of the discussion." These are the opening words of an article in this volume of the SCENARIO book series, whose goal it is to advance the intercultural dialogue within drama and theatre pedagogy. The six contributions to this anthology, in both English and German, explore performative teaching, learning, and research from multiple perspectives: general education, foreign language didactics, as well as drama and theatre pedagogy. Since the word "performative" features in many languages, we advocate its use - particularly in intercultural contexts - to characterise approaches to teaching, learning, and research that emerge from the dynamic interplay of pedagogy and the performing arts.
