Kritzelkomplex, better known as KPLX, is the illustration project of René Engels. Working entirely by hand with pencil and ink, he creates atmospheric conceptual illustrations, urban sketches, and webcomics.

He first shared his drawings on his website and social media. Today, his handcrafted artwork reaches an international audience. Original drawings, fine art prints, and other works are available on his website.
