This reference compiles a wide array of topics on public health nutrition with information on research, practice, and policy aimed at a variety of readers of all levels of knowledge about the field.
Public health nutrition is a broad subject and encompasses the prevention or reduction of those diseases where food and diet will have an impact. It has been argued that poor diet and nutrition have contributed to more deaths than many communicable diseases on a global scale.
