Evaluation of the effects of adding BMP to asphalt binders Use of waste tyre rubber in asphalt paving

This paper aims to discuss the benefits of adding ground tyre rubber to petroleum asphalt cement, introducing sustainability concepts into the current panorama through the results obtained in laboratory analysis, proving that the reuse and introduction of ground (or shredded) rubber from waste tyres (BMP) in the production of modified asphalt improves the quality of asphalt mixtures.

He has a degree in Civil Engineering and a degree in Road Infrastructure Technology, as well as a Master's and PhD in Civil Engineering - Geotechnics. He works mainly in the design, construction and maintenance of road projects. He is currently an Adjunct Professor on the Transport Engineering course at the Federal University of Goiás.
