Der erste Fall - The House of Doctor Koolhaas - aus der Feder der renommierten französischen Architekturkritikerin und Historikerin Françoise Fromonot handelt von der Villa dall'Ava, einem Privathaus im Pariser Vorort Saint-Cloud. Fromonot entschlüsselt, erklärt und interpretiert auf brillante Weise dieses allererste Gebäude, das Rem Koolhaas, der wohl berühmteste Architekt der Gegenwart, mit seinem Büro OMA 1984 bis 1991 realisiert hat. Obwohl eindeutig zum Kanon der modernen Architektur gehörend, wird die Villa dall'Ava hier erstmals einer tiefergehenden Analyse unterzogen.
