This book draws together the scientific research on how we process and interpret emoji. Most books on the subject of emoji explain how we use emoji and the functions they serve for the sender, but very do very little to address the receiver's perspective. Seeking to redress this, this book extracts insights from a range of psychology sub-disciplines to provide a comprehensive review of current research on how we process emoji.
