Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) are complex diseases, which are subject to numerous medical researches. Despite increased knowledge on the pathophysiological process, many aspects remain rather unclear, especially concerning IBD. The aim of the researchers will be to prevent these disorders through early detection and intervention, thanks to genetic therapy. This book gathers current methods of treatment of these diseases and also presents the management of their complications.
