Swat Valley has been known as the Switzerland of the east, gifted with beautiful landscape and immense floristic diversity. This book highlights the usefulness of modern technology in assessing the conservation status of a particular place of interest. I hope that this book will act as a guide to those laymen and researchers alike who are concerned about the various anthropocentric challenges currently faced by the Swat Valley. Dr. Kishwar Ali holds PhD. in Plant Sciences, The University of Reading, UK. He got M.Phil. (GIS) from Salford University, Manchester, UK and MSc, BSc (Botany) from University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He has Qualified Teacher Status (QTLS) UK. He is an active researcher currently working as Assistant Professor at University of Malakand, KP, Pakistan.
