From the 6th to the 14th of June 1944, the world's destiny will be decided in Normandy. This first determining phase of the Landing will take the Allies from the Normand beaches to an impasse in the city of Caen. At this moment, the question is : Will they succeed in the incredible bet of setting up a bridgehead in Normandy to defeat the Nazies ? The soldiers have left on the battlefield heagears and personnal equipments that today tell us about History. Each headgear has its own story, linked to a place and a moment of the Landing It is also the story of men, anonymous soldiers, and their meeting with the highlights of the Landing of Normandy. Through the emblems, the specific markings painted ont the Dday and the battle of Normandy, we are now able too situate those objects in their places and their historical context.
