Informationen zum Autor Luigi Mondello is an expert in the field of multidimensional chromatography. He has published a number of books and papers in his field and has been an invited speaker at a number of conferences. He is Editor of the Journal of Separation Science (Wiley). Recently he was awarded The Chromatographic Society's Silver Jubilee Medal award for his work in the field of chromatography and the COLACRO Medal for his contribution to the development and diffusion of the Chromatographic Techniques, and the HTC-Award for the most outstanding and innovative work in the field of hyphenated chromatographic techniques from the Flemish Chemical Society. He is currently Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the the University of Messina in Italy and permanent member of the scientific committee of the International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography (ISCC); the International Symposium on Essential Oils (ISEO); the International Symposium on Hyphenated Techniques in Chromatography and Hyphenated Chromatographic Analyzers (HTC-11); the Brazilian Symposium on Chromatography and Related Techniques (SIMCRO); and the Congresso Latino-Americano de Cromatografia e Técnicas Relacionades (COLACRO). Klappentext A clear, concise, and all-encompassing approach to comprehensive chromatography methodologies An excellent primer to the field of comprehensive chromatography (CC), this book provides a detailed description of various multidimensional chromatographic separation techniques in an effort to acquaint readers with the fundamentals and possible benefits of multidimensional separations coupled with mass spectrometry?an expanding topic, and one of the most rapidly developing areas in analytical chemistry. Among the first and most up-to-date books dealing with CC methodologies, this single-volume reference gathers and combines studies from a multitude of scientific literature to discuss a wide range of important topics. In-depth coverage of separation techniques such as comprehensive 2D GC, LC and LC-GC shows how these and various other combinations are ideal for the separation and analysis of complex mixtures in the pharmaceutical, biological, industrial, environmental, and clinical fields. Other subjects explored in this text include: The theoretical considerations of multidimensional gas and liquid chromatography The history, evolution, and optimization aspects of comprehensive two-dimensional gas and liquid chromatography Up-to-date comprehensive chromatography data interpretation technologies The feedback gained from comprehensive chromatographic techniques, though promising, still remains an emerging contributor to the research field. With the goal of extracting the enormous potential embedded in CC methodologies, Comprehensive Chromatography in Combination with Mass Spectrometry provides insight that takes a great leap forward in advancing exploration into this highly complex?yet highly powerful?analytical tool. Zusammenfassung * Comprehensive chromatography represents one of the most powerful tools in the separation of complex mixtures * The book is both broad covering many areas of techniques and applications while still being focused to a specific topic.
