About the author

Samira Benz is an expert in the prevention of violent extremism. She works internationally as a consultant for civil society organizations and governments and is currently based in the United States.
Dr. Georgios Sotiriadis is a criminal law expert and criminologist. He serves as an advisor on disengagement and deradicalization at the Senate Department for the Interior and Sport in Berlin, Germany.
