About the author










Geoff Barker is a broadcaster and musician who grew up in the 1950s alongside a busy north-west London freight line. Steam railways have always been a part of his life and the Barry Island Scrapyard soon became family folklore. Geoff now lives in rural France. David Holland is a self-employed business owner. He is a fan of heritage railways, and enjoys exploring archives of slides, photographs and data. David and his wife live in Dorset.
