Sustainable Technologies for a Changing World reviews current technologies that are being developed to address some of the many critical sustainability issues. The book examines the interactions between the various facets of sustainability to show how solutions in one area can impact the challenges in another, whether for better or worse. Using the broad perspective of a sustainable urban environment, it explores the opportunities to design out inefficiency, increase resiliency, and capitalize on the systems level approach that is needed to understand the major challenges that exist and will become more severe as climate change becomes more entrenched.
