Informationen zum Autor Dr Scarth graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2002. He trained in General Internal Medicine gaining the MRCP(UK) before embarking on a training programme in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. He gained a Joint CCT in 2013 and since 2015 has worked as a Consultant at Torbay Hospital. He is co-author of 'Drugs in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care' of which the 5th edition was Highly Commended at the BMA Book Awards. He holds a senior position in Clinical Governance and has interests in Patient Safety and Incident Investigations. He has also worked in the field of Aeromedical Retrieval Medicine.Dr Blandford graduated from University of London (SGUL) in 2004 and has been a consultant anaesthetist since 2013. As course founder & director of a primary FRCA exam preparation course for 9 years the course developed a national reputation, leading to the publication of 'Passing the Primary FRCA SOE' in 2016. Dr Blandford is also subdean for University of Exeter Medical School and jointly holds the position of undergraduate director of medical education at her trust. Additionally she has published on her clinical areas of interest including regional anaesthesia, orthopaedic pathways and day surgery. She regularly presents at national level.
