The career of a professional athlete is characterized by its short duration: 10 or 15 years maximum. Far from the extravagant salaries of football, rugby or tennis stars, the average salary of a professional sportsman or woman in 2016 was EUR4400 gross/month.This remuneration, although comfortable, does not give them the luxury of not planning a retraining plan. Once their career is over, they generally receive little or no income. The aim of this book is to analyse the motivations that drive professional sportsmen and women to be enterprising.Is a professional sports career an asset in this entrepreneurial drive?
