About the author

Kenda is originally from Pennsylvania, where she grew up behind the scenes on her parents' Western movie sets. She now resides in Yukon, Oklahoma, where she has served as a regional coordinator for the Oklahoma SCBWI and as a Best in Rhyme Award committee member and judge.
