About the author










JULIEANNE E. STEINBACHER is the founding shareholder of Steinbacher, Stahl, Goodall & Yurchak, an elder care and special needs planning law firm with locations in Williamsport, PA and State College, PA. She is certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. Her law practice focuses on estate and long-term care planning. As an attorney, her goal is to provide a bridge between legal services and the aging network. Julie belongs to the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA); Academy of Special Needs Planners (ASNP); Wealth Counsel, LLC; and Elder Counsel, LLC. She has been selected as a Presidential Who's Who and approved to the National Association of Professional Women.

Additionally, Julie is an accredited attorney by the Department of Veteran Affairs and may prepare, present, and prosecute claims for the department. Prior to becoming an attorney, Julie was employed by AARP and as a social worker at a nursing home. She has extensive lecturing experience as a speaker for Pennsylvania State University Tax Institutes and Tax Week, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), National Association of Tax Professionals- PA Chapter, Pennsylvania Society of Public Accountants (PSPA), Pennsylvania Bar Institute's Elder Law Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association's Annual Meeting, Back to Basics, Tax Pro Seminars, and the University of Illinois. In addition, she has conducted numerous local seminars for various organizations.

Julie is the president of Estate & Long Term Care Planning, Inc., a company that provides continuing education for professionals in Pennsylvania and coaching for attorneys throughout the United States. She has written materials published by the University of Illinois on estates, trusts, and taxation. She also has published materials in various newsletters and newspapers. Julie and her law partner, Adrianne J. Stahl, Esquire, authored two books about trusts, entitled Pennsylvania Trust Guide (Editions I and II) and Pennsylvania Special Needs Planning Guide published by George T. Bisel Company, Inc. Most recently, Julie and her law partner, Adrianne J. Stahl, joined by nine other leading elder law attorneys from across the nation, coauthored Protect Your Family! Don't Write a Blank Check to the Nur$ing Home, a collaborative writing, broken down in layman's terms, offering readers the essential tools and knowledge for effective long-term care planning.
