Two Women in One House and Other Stories

This collection of short stories portray quite melancholy and devastating events in which Cyntha's plaintive, unglorified descriptions make these stories of loss all the more poignant. These stories focus predominantly on the experience of being a woman, exploring issues of domestic violence, racism, sexual objectification and jealousy.

About the author

Cyntha Hariadi is a poetry and prose writer, born in Tangerang, Banten in 1973. She graduated in International Relations at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung and in Media Studies at the New School for Social Research, New York. Before writing poetry and prose, she worked as a journalist and advertising copywriter.
